"The Crescent City" Series
by Sarah J. Maas
If this is your first SJM book you are opening, go ahead and close it and read Throne of Glass (TOG) or A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) first. This series jumps into a different universe, however TOG goes into greater detail on some of the history of species and races that would be beneficial to understand first. You won't be disappointed, and fair warning...it's spicy.
"No Bad Parts"

If you are someone who often debates with yourself, goes back and forth between your internal and external opinions, and/or feel lost in your own mind, this is a great read. Dr. Schwartz dives into the science of those voices, or Internal Family Systems (IFS). I finished this read with more understanding for myself and compassion for all of the parts of me.
